Notes for Graphite Electrode
Adding time:2019-04-22   Clicks:236

1. Dry wet graphite electrodes before use.

2. Remove the foam plastic protective cap on the spare graphite electrode hole and check whether the thread inside the electrode hole is complete.

3. Use oil-free and water-free compressed air to clean the surface and hole threads of spare graphite electrodes; avoid cleaning with steel wire or l brushing cloth.

4. Rotate the joint carefully into the hole of the spare graphite electrode (it is not recommended that the joint be directly loaded into the electrode removed from the furnace), and do not collide with the threads.

5. Twist the electrode hanger (recommended to be made of graphite) into the electrode hole at the other end of the standby electrode.

6. When lifting the electrodes, the cushion should be soft to the bottom of one end of the spare electrodes fitting joint in order to prevent the ground from colliding with the joint; when lifting the electrodes by hooking into the ring of the hanger, the lifting electrodes should be stable to prevent the electrodes from loosening from the B end or colliding with other fixtures.

7. Hang the standby electrodes above the electrode to be connected and drop slowly after aligning the hole of the electrode; rotate the standby electrodes to make the spiral hook rotate with the electrode; clean the exposed parts of the two ends and joints with compressed air again when the two ends of the electrodes are 10-20 mm apart; when discharging the bottom electrodes, do not be too violent, otherwise, violent collision will lead to the hole and joint of the electrode. Thread damage.

8. Wrap the spare electrodes with a torque wrench until the ends of the two electrodes are in close contact (the correct joint gap between the electrodes and the joints is less than 0.05 mm).

Graphite is very common in nature, and graphene is known to be a high strength substance for human beings, but it may still take years or even decades for scientists to find a way to convert graphite into large "thin films" of high quality graphene, which can be used to make various useful substances for human beings. According to scientists, graphene is not only exceptionally strong, but also has a series of properties. Graphene is also known to have excellent electrical conductivity, which makes it have great potential in the field of microelectronics. Researchers have even seen graphene as a substitute for silicon, which could be used to produce future computers.
